Ana Braga Playboy Model : The Girl From Ipanema

Ana Braga Playboy Model : The Girl From Ipanema

My name is Ana Braga and I’m originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Girl From Ipanema. I now reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. I’ve been living in the US for over 10 years now and I love it here!! I have been modeling, on and off, all my life. My mother, my aunt and my grandma did extensive modeling in Brazil. I started very young. Did Runway shows in Brazil and print work.

In the US I modeled for a little and then went into professional dancing. I traveled abroad to Mexico, China and Hong Kong. I had the opportunity to perform with many artists such as Pitbul, Lil Jon, Gloria Estefan to name a few. A year ago I decided to come back to modeling. I already got published in Playboy Romania, FHM Spain, FHM Philippines, Maxim.com, Fighters Only SA edition, Kandy magazine, to name a few.

I love modeling and I came back as a hobby. I didn’t anticipate how fast things were going to happen. I am also a brand ambassador for many brands like Ravish Sands Swimwear, SnS bikinis, Combatives Gear and many more. I love modeling but I also write for a couple magazines. I want people to know that I have more to offer than my looks.

1.   What’s the best modeling job you have ever done and where

I would say shooting for Kate Swim, which is the official swimwear of Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. And I’m up on www.kateswim.com with all the big name models, dream come true. I could also say Playboy Brazil where I got Miss June 2013 feature!!

2.   What is the most memorable experience you have had to date?

Has to be being published in Playboy Romania this year. Was my first time in Playboy and the best feeling, hard to describe!! Also Playboy Mexico and Playboy Brazil Miss June feature, so amazing to make it in my birth country!

3.  What is the one experience you wish you could forget?

Shooting with a photographer who lied to me and was very inappropriate and unprofessional. And meeting one very insecure model who told me I would never make it!  To be honest, I meet more good than bad people in this industry. So I can say I would like to forget those situations but they also made me work harder and accomplish so much. How is it working for them? LOL. I am here to  work hard but I also enjoy making good friends and helping each other. It’s unfortunate negative people think they can cause you to not follow your dreams.  A message to models and aspiring models, never give up on your dreams! No matter what anyone says!!

4.  Did you choose modeling, or, did modeling choose you?IMG_0023 copy-1 IMG_0009

My mom was a model in Brazil so I grew up in it. I took a long break and found it again. So I could say both!

5.  Tell us about your typical day?

OMG I work a lot. Between answering emails, submitting to publications and writing. I am a columnist as well. 24 hours isn’t enough.

6.  What do you do when you’re not modeling?

I work out and I write.

7.  Tell us the best part about being a model?

The best part is seeing the finished product and being published! Is the best feeling ever!

8.  What do you think of today’s up and coming models?

I think things are much easier. For example, many years ago everything was done through agencies. Now-a-days you can submit your work to pretty much any publication and get published. There are a lot of urban models now as well. I think is a great opportunity for many women to have a career as a models. Any shape or size will do. I love it because we are all beautiful.

9.  Who is your inspiration or role model?

My grandma and my mother. They were models in Brazil and they have a lot of class and grace. Also Anais Zanotti. She works very hard, she also skydives and scuba dives. She’s my best friend and my hero. She has believed in me from the beginning, I’ll never forget that!

10.  What is your favorite spot/food/gadget or position?

Gym/Sushi/Cell phone/Missionary

11.  What is your current project?

I can’t tell hehe

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. My father was half black and my mom is a quarter black. They both have Portuguese/Spaniard heritage!

13.  What is the best and worst pick-up lines a guy has given you?

The best I don’t remember lol. The worst was “Did it hurt? When you fell from heaven?”

14.  What attributes on a man catchES your eye?

Besides nice abs…being cordial, polite and thoughtful. Those are better attributes than looks or great abs!

15.  Boxers, briefs, or commando?

Boxers
