The game of dominos may not be so popular anymore, but that isn’t deterring potential collectors from the Lieb Manufaktur of Germany. This luxurious European company has recently released their own line of dominos, but there’s a catch. This set of dominos costs an upwards of $150,000.

With 18 karat gold in each domino and embedded with diamonds, this set features the traditional 28 dominos, all neatly packed into a sophisticated box.

But the question arises: why create a set of dominos at such a high cost? Truly, these are beautiful examples of extravagant art. It’s a bit excessive, but nonetheless gorgeous.

Although this domino set is impressive, it pales in comparison to the world’s most expensive chess set. Valued at up to $9.8 million, the Jewel Royale Chess Set is just another instance of how much people pay for a hobby they can’t even utilize.
