Don’t you just hate when you can’t find a place to dock your 500-foot megayacht? We do too! Thankfully, Island Gardens Deep Harbour Marina has got you covered. Located in Miami, Florida, Island Gardens offers the space to not only dock your superyacht, but also space to land your helicopter or seaplane, and park your car. Definitely catering to individuals who value luxury, the site will offer hi-rise hotels, high-end shopping and branded living as well. The “harbor” will accommodate vessels from 80 feet to 550 feet.

The location offers direct access to the Atlantic Ocean and is 10 minutes from South Beach and within 15 minutes of the Miami International Airport. With the focus on luxury living, it will no doubt attract celebrities, whether actors, athletes, chefs, or DJs. Pricing is based on the size of the vessel and the length of stay. Megayachts require other vessels to help maintain them. This is included in the slip sizes to ensure the vessels are properly cared for.

You’d probably never have to leave the dock to have a great time! Island Gardens is the first marina to offer docking capabilities to the larger vessels. Makes you wonder what they did before this was built. I mean, it’s big enough that you just can’t park it anywhere. Maybe they just left them in the middle of the ocean and dropped anchor. Or they just understood there was nowhere to dock them, so they just kept moving.

I wonder if they would have yacht valet. It’s got to be difficult to parallel park a 550-foot yacht. You thought your Yugo was difficult! I’m pretty sure there’s no slamming on the breaks with something that huge.

It will be interesting to watch and see what this Marina evolves into. It will surely be attracting attention with the docking capabilities and the amenities that are offered and will be added in the future. For the rest of us, we can just Google “megayacht” and dream.
